"Probably the best St.-Emilion proprietor Philippe Casteja has ever made, this property was very badly hail-damaged, thus the yields were tiny. There is a lot of structure to this wine, but behind it is massive fruit and loads of truffle, white chocolate, earth, and barrique. Full-bodied and opaque purple in color, it is a wine requiring some patience, but if the tannins melt further, look for an even higher rating. This wine will need to be forgotten for at least five years and drunk over the following 30+. Too bad there isn't much of it in 2009. (Tasted two times.)"
