"The 2008 Roc de Cambes has an attractive, undergrowth-tinged bouquet with dark berry fruit, hints of brine and wild fennel emerging with time, gaining complexity with every swirl of the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, fine acidity, still quite stocky for a Roc de Cambes but fresh and generous on the herbaceous, bell pepper tinged finish. There is something a little rustic about this vintage although that merely imparts charm. (Tasted at the château.)"
