Schon seinem historischen Rang nach ist Château La Lagune im Haut-Médoc ohne Gleichen. Seitdem die schweizer Familie Frey das Weingut erworben hat, wird mit Konsequenz, Zielstrebigkeit und Erfolg daran gearbeitet, La Lagune zum Hort feinster Gerbstoff-Haut-Couture zu machen. Für mich ein weiterer Fixstern im Médoc-Firmament.

"Soyeux et juteux, tel est l'esprit d e ce 2012. Le cru a joué la carte du charme dans le millésime, élaborant un vin infusé et très gourmand à la texture très agréable. Il n'est toutefois pas maigre et affiche un bel équilibre digeste. Très accessible."

"This is an excellent effort from this estate at the southern end of the Medoc. A tell-tale, seductive, round, medium to full-bodied style is present in this forward, precocious, delicious wine with plenty of charm and finesse. Medium-bodied with sweet tannin and plenty of toasty, black currant and loamy soil notes intermixed with hints of spice box and vanillin are present in this nicely textured, complete, attractive effort. Drink it over the next 12-15 years."

"Couleur sombre, de bonne intensité et belle. Nez fruité de type mûr avec de la profondeur. Entrée en bouche caressante puis le vin se développe très fruité, juteux, aromatique avec du goût et des tanins fins. C’est très bien construit, savoureux et d’une bonne longueur. Depuis 2010 ce cru est désormais au niveau des meilleurs Margaux. Assemblage 65 % de cabernet sauvignon, 20 % de merlot et 15 % de petit verdot. Rendement 32 hectolitres à l’hectare. Sélection du grand vin 50 %. Aucun vin de presse ajouté."

"Sattes Purpur-Granat, dicht in der Mitte, lila Schimmer aussen. Wunderschönes Bouquet, rote Kirschen, Milchkaffee, feine Gewürze, Schwarzbrotkruste. Im Gaumen einer der harmonischsten Grand Crus in diesem Segment, gebündelt und sehr lang. Es war in der letzten Zeit selten, dass ein La Lagune bei der Primeurprobe schon überzeugte. Diesmal ist dies fraglos gelungen. Hier liegt noch ein Punkt mehr drin in seiner Genussreife."
