"Lovely open and expressive nose. Plenty of new oak going on here, giving sweetness and structure. The alcohol is high, but it is balanced, and almost in check. Made with an eye of who will be drinking it, which is no bad thing. 70% merlot, 10% cabernet sauvignon, 10% cabernet franc, 10% peitit verdot. 100% new oak barrels (and malolactic in 50% new oak). Drink 2018-2028."
