"Only 1,500 cases were produced of this fruity, up-front, round, consumer-friendly St.-Emilion. The wine exhibits cedary, Christmas fruitcake and black cherry characteristics intermixed with notions of underbrush and licorice. Medium-bodied and seductive, it is best drunk over the next 7-10 years."

"The La Serre has a showy, almost extravagant bouquet of blueberry, cassis and violets that swarms from the glass. Very plush and generous. The palate is caressing on the entry with very fine tannins. The acidity is nicely judged and the dark plum and blackberry finish is totally seductive. Very fine. Tasted April 2013."
