"I don't think anyone could possibly rate this higher than the 2005, which is certainly the greatest wine made at this estate since 1982. However, this is another blockbuster, gorgeously aromatic, with notes of subtle oak interwoven with perfumed black, blue, and red fruits. Its opaque purple color, the gorgeous elegance allied to compelling intensity of flavor, and its full-bodied opulence make for the quintessential expression of this terroir. This is beauty that will be relatively approachable in 3-4 years and evolve for 20 or more years. (Tasted three times.)"

Ma meilleure note donnée à ce cru en primeur Beau rouge sombre et intense. Nez pur et très fruité.Vin pulpeux en entrée de bouche se développant tendre, puis gras au milieu avec de l'énergie. Très savoureux, il se révèle lentement et s'achève puissant sur des tanins savoureux, enrobés et très aromatiques. Très bonne longueur. Petit à petit, ce cru s'étoffe au fil des millésimes. Il gagne à la fois en distinction et en profondeur tout en restant discret dans son expression. En clair, je sens bien que l'attention des responsables se porte sur le long terme.2009 est le plus grand millésime de cette propriété. Pour information les vendanges ont eu lieu tôt : à partir du 17 septembre pour le merlot et du 2 octobre pour le cabernet. Assemblage : 60% cabernet sauvignon, 25 % merlot et 15 % petit verdot. Alc : 13°9, PH 3,8, IPT 74, alors que le cru se situe en année normale autour d'une concentration tannique à 50-55."

"Le vin est très dense, mais il trouve son point d'èquilibre, avec une belle tension. La propriète, qui augmente depuis quelques annèes la proportion de petit verdots (15% en 2009), cherce à apporter de la tension au vin. La chair est soyeuse, avec une exubèrance bien canalisèe. Ses 14 % d'alcool sont digèrès et la finale demeure vive."

Im Gaumen schon recht samtig, nussige Noten mit viel Lakritze im Innern. Zeigt jetzt mehr von seine Klasse wie bei der letztjährigen Primeurprobe."

"(a blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot and 15% petit verdot) Deep ruby. Enticing aromas of violet, red cherry and graphite. Creamy and soft on entry, then shows surprising backbone to the rather delicate red and black fruit flavors. Finishes long and smooth, with a tactile, almost sweet mouth feel that may not be for purists. This dense, chocolatey wine will need time to develop a little more nuance and grace. It offers excellent potential but is already quite flattering."
