"From proprietor Alain Moueix, this biodynamically farmed vineyard has produced a wine that’s a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. An outstanding effort from Moueix, the wine offers up loads of black cherries, blackcurrants, subtle loamy, earthy undertones, medium to full-bodied texture, sweet tannin and a long finish. This is a very strong effort from that should drink nicely for 15 or more years. "

"The 2012 Fonroque is an attractive wine that is best enjoyed over the next few years. Expressive aromatics add lift to the dark red cherry, iron, smoke, tobacco and cedar nuances. Although not especially complex, the 2012 offers good depth and persistence, along with plenty of near term appeal. The blend is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc."
