"The Reiffers family also produces the brilliant Clos Saint-Martin and fine Grandes Murailles. Their least impressive offering tends to be the Cote de Baleau, a straightforward, richly fruity St.-Emilion displaying good ripeness, but neither the complexity nor nobleness of their other wines. The soft 2005 reveals herb-tinged black cherry fruit intermixed with notions of earth and spice. It is a good, fairly priced cuvee to drink over the next 10-15 years."
