"Dark ruby. Ripe, showy aromas of blackberry syrup, coffee liqueur and toasty vanillin oak. Dense, sweet and generous, with a very rich mouth feel to its dark plum, blackberry and coffee flavors. Finishes rich and thick if not especially persistent, with a pleasant smoky hint. Less refined than some other Bordeaux of 2009, but I found it hard to resist this wine's full-bodied, in-your-face charm."
