"One of the finest Belgraves I have ever tasted, this sleeper of the vintage boasts an opaque purple color along with abundant aromas of blackberries and cassis, a classy mid-palate, medium to full-bodied flavors, superb depth and crisp freshness as well as liveliness. Over recent years the large negociant firm of Dourthe has been making improvements and resurrecting the quality of this forgotten Medoc classified growth. The 2010 will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring and should keep for 15 or more."

"The Belgrave 2010 has a refined nose with crisp, tobacco-infused Cabernet Sauvignon leading the way with good definition. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, dried herbs, cedar and sandalwood. You might think there was a bit of bottle age on this sample, but I appreciate the balance and classicism on the well-mannered finish. Tasted April 2011."
