"The 2016 Petit-Gravet-Aine is a blend of 80% Cabernet Franc and 20% Merlot cropped at 35 hectoliters per hectare and matured in 100% new French oak. The new oak here is neatly integrated into the abundant black fruit with red cherries and a touch of orange rind. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a pleasant savory and bell pepper note from the Cabernet Franc, spicy with fine structure and a persistent finish. Plenty of personality here; this is an excellent Saint Emilion to follow up the impressive 2015."
