"The 2015 La Fleur Petrus is a blend of 93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc, having absorbed Château Guillot back in 2012. It has a clean and precise bouquet with ebullient red cherry, blackcurrant and cold stone aromas that are very succinct. There is nothing showy here, but it is very refined and graceful. The palate is very well balanced with succulent ripe tannin, clean and precise, lightly spiced red fruit with outstanding focus and tension on the finish. This La Fleur Petrus has an effortless cool about it. I am sure it will be wondrous once in bottle."

Elegant, supple and alluring, the crushed velvet tannins are outstanding when paired with all that ripe, sweet, lush kirsch liqueur in the finish. The harvest took place from September 11 to October 1. The blend is 92% Merlot , 7.5% Cabernet Franc and for the first time, a dab of Petit Verdot was included in the wine at .05%."

Ein grosser La Fleur-Petrus der sich bei der Pomerol-Spitze etabliert und dort auch wohl fühlen wird."

"Rouge grenat aux reflets violacés. Bouquet intense révélant parfaitement le fruit, l'élevage et l'expression du cépage. Agréable note floral avec de la violette, suivie de réglisse. Attaque suave, élégante, sur la fraîcheur. Le fruit se révèle merveilleusement bien en bouche et est parfaitement soutenu par la structure acide. Les tannins sont granuleux et se révèlent lentement. Ils ont de quoi faire, car la structure est vive, mais je ne doute pas une seconde que ces deux compères vont parfaitement s'entendre. À suivre. Très grand vin."
