"A promising effort, the 2021 Haut Bergey delivers aromas of rich berry fruit, plums and spices, followed by a medium-bodied, nicely balanced palate. If it continues to flesh out with élevage, it should land toward the upper end of my bracketed score."

"55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdot. Demeter-certified biodynamic. Cask sample.
Deep purplish crimson. Intense, energetic nose. Quite sweet and floral in its impact with tobacco-leaf sensations on the finish. Tannins well worked and quite a bit of acidity, counterbalanced by relatively fleshy fruit. Burgundian hint?"

"The 2021 Château Haut-Bergey has a slightly lifted yet still attractive bouquet of blue fruits, orange blossom, and spice as well as a medium-bodied, slightly grippy style on the palate. There's good ripeness here, and I suspect the tannins will be more resolved over the course of the élevage. It has good purity of fruit as well."

"Joli nez de fruits noirs, de réglisse, de graphite avec un nez moins éclatant que les millésimes précédents. Juteux, frais, légèrement velouté pour un vin élégant et frais. Attention toutefois, ce vin a été dégusté 4 fois dont 3 bouteilles avec des soucis."
