Weitere Verkostungsnotizen Château Poujeaux 2006 AOC Moulis in Einzel OHK

The Wine Advocate:

"Tasted at Bordeaux Index's annual 10-Year On tasting in London. The 2006 Château Poujeaux has an attractive bouquet with plenty of lovely blackcurrant and raspberry fruit interlaced with cedar and tobacco notes. The palate is medium-bodied with good grip in the mouth, impressive substance and a tightly-coiled, saline finish that suggests this might surpass expectation. It certainly did mine. One to look out for. Tasted January 2016."

Neal Martin 91 Punkte

"This estate was acquired last year by St.-Emilion’s Cuvelier family, who has done a phenomenal job of bringing the famous Premieres Grand Cru Classe of St.-Emilion, Clos Fourtet, into superstar status. Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt are now producing the wine, although I do not believe they had anything to do with the 2006. Its deep ruby/purple color, notes of sweet black currants, incense, camphor, and spice box, and medium to full-bodied style are accompanied by a wine with excellent fruit intensity, purity, and length. It should drink well for 10-15 years. Good value."

Robert Parker 89 Punkte

René Gabriel's BDX Total:

"Dunkles, dichtes Purpur, violetter Schimmer darin. Delikates, nach Kirschen und Waldhimbeeren duftendes Bouquet, sehr fein und eine tolle Süsse zeigend. Im Gaumen ist der Wein delikat und zeigt aber auch Kraft, pfeffriger Beerenoten im Extrakt, gute Länge."

René Gabriel 17/20

VINOUS/vormals Neal Martin:

"(57% cabernet sauvignon, 36% merlot and 7% petit verdot) Medium ruby. Black cherry and a floral perfume on the ripe nose. Round and rich, but with a firm edge of acidity giving the wine shape. Offers a restrained sweetness. Solidly structured but not hard. Finishes with palate-dusting tannins. Another very good performance by this consistent property."

Stephen Tanzer 87-89 Punkte
