"The 2015 Sociando Mallet is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc this year. It has a rather introspective bouquet, broody and earthy, although with aeration it reveals pleasant blackberry and wild strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannin, a little rustic and brutish at the moment with an abrasive finish that will hopefully soften by the time it is in bottle. I feel that this was just upended by the storms that swept across the region in September."

Nachdem der Sociando von 2011 bis 2014 ein 17-er-Abonnement hatte, muss er sich leider auch in diesem recht grossen Jahr ebenfalls mit dieser Wertung zufriedengeben."

"La propriété hésite encore entre deux assemblages : le plus large donne un vin très harmonieux, équilibré, séveux et terminant sur un tannin médocain, avec une précision retrouvée. Le plus restrictif apporte la puissance et la densité de milieu de bouche en filiation avec les vins somptueux de l’histoire un peu plus ancienne du château et méritera une note plus élevée encore."

The blend is 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc."
