The Wine Advocate

"This blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 20% Petit Verdot displays the ripeness it was possible to achieve in this vintage as it boasts 13.5% natural alcohol. It is medium-bodied with cedary, herbaceously-tinged red and black currant fruit intermixed with a hint of loamy soil. Drink it over the next 4-5 years."

René Gabriel's BDX Total

"50 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 30 % Merlot, 20 % Petit Verdot. Etwa 40 % neues Holz. Tiefes Purpur, satt in der Mitte, Granatschimmer am Rand. Reifes Beerenbouquet, helle Edelhölzer, Milchkaffee, jetzt schon ziemlich ausladend. Also eine parfümierte, burgundische Delikatesse.

VINOUS

"The 2012 Belle-Vue is terrific. A big, hearty wine, the 2012 offers superb quality for the money. Dark red cherry, plum, smoke, licorice and cloves flesh out in an ample, broad-shouldered wine with tons of depth. Drink this gorgeous Haut-Médoc over the next handful of years. The 2012 is 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 20% Petit Verdot. The high amount of Petit Verdot is one of the signatures of this wine. "
