"Firm, rich and ripe fruit appears on the silky-textured attack. The tannins bristle through the mid-palate before the alcohol takes over to the point that you can barely see round it. It's gourmet for sure, powerful too, but it pulls up cleverly on the finish to avoid overdoing things. I tasted this on several occasions and noted each time that this stops just short of being too powerful. Owned by Otto Rettenmaier, this estate is already planted to a high 33% Cabernet Franc, with plans to increase it to 39% by 2022. 50% new oak."

It has a savory, complex nose yet brings plenty of sweet fruit and opulence on the palate, with ripe and polished tannins, a rounded, layered mouthfeel, and outstanding length on the finish. The balance is spot on, it has a great mid-palate, and I suspect it will have 15-20 years of overall longevity.“

The 2018 is a bit slender, but quite attractive just the same."

Un vin agréable, délicat, que l’on pourra savourer dans sa jeunesse mais je pense qu’il dispose également d’un potentiel de vieillissement que l’on sous-estime."
