"If you have wondered what Lynch Bages tastes like at full-maturity, find a bottle of the 1982! This stunner rocks as soon as the wine greets your glass. The cedar, tobacco leaf, cigar box, forest floor, pepper, herbs and cassis in the nose is classic, aged Pauillac. Full-bodied, with density, length, character and the combination of bright red berries, herbs, earth and peppery, green, forest leaf on the palate, every sip tastes and feels great. There is no hurry to drink this, but I do not see any upside to holding it longer. Drink this now and over the next 15-20 years, and enjoy the ride!"

"Classic in all the good ways, here you find lots of cedar, tobacco, smoke, earth and lead pencil on top of the ripe, vibrant cassis. On the palate, there is a slight rusticity and firmness to the tannins, with notes of green herbs olive, but instead of detracting, they add to the fresh, red fruits. This is drinking great today, where it should hold for at least 15 or more years."

"Fully mature, but not close to over the hill as it’s got all the right stuff in all the right places, the tobacco, cassis, wet forest floor, thyme and assorted herb profile is there from the first sniff through to the cassis studded finish. This could get a tiny bit better, or it could remain right where it is for ages. Regardless, there is no reason to wait to pop a cork on this wine."

"Drinking in the perfect sweet spot, this is all about the truffle, tobacco, blackberry, cassis and earthy nose to start. It gets even better once the wine hits your palate, with its layers of fat, lush, ripe, sweet berries and long finish. Drink this now, or age it for another 10-15 years if it’s perfectly stored."
