"The 2014 La Tour Figeac is soft, open-knit and quite pretty, if a touch slender. Cedar, smoke, tobacco and wild cherry abound, all with an extra kick of aromatic intensity from the Cabernet Franc. Less expressive than it was from barrel, the 2014 appears to have shut down a bit. It will be interesting to see if some of the depth the wine showed in its youth emerges with more time in bottle. The blend is 75 % Merlot and 25 % Cabernet Franc."
