"A classic and well-sculpted Pressac in profile, concentrated and juicy with plenty of white pepper and peony floral edging. Tasty and enticiting, pared back but with a punch underneath that steals up on you. This is good, with ripe blueberry and raspberry fruits set against a sharper redcurrant and cranberry finish. A yield of 34hl/ha. 1% Malbec and 2% Carmenere complete the blend."

"Cask sample. Bags of dark fruits with a leafy and tobacco note and a hint of pepper. Full bodied with a compact fruit profile and good acidity to lift the powerful frame which shows quite ripe and chunky tannins. The alcohol creeps in on the warming finish."

Deep purple. Not the most intense nose but with some suggestion of welcome drive. Lots of juice and mellow ripe fruit without too much exaggeration. Though the tannins seem less obvious than in some of its peers – skilfully hidden perhaps? You could probably drink this earlier than some of its neighbours but the wine has local integrity and is nicely done."

"Ma meilleure note donnée à ce cru en primeur
Couleurs sombre, intense et pourpre. Nez très aromatique, au fruité mûr et subtil, avec à la fois une nuance crémeuse déjà vue et comme nouveauté heureuse, de la framboise. Délicat en entrée de bouche, minutieux au milieu, très savoureux, le vin caresse le palais. Il a l'avantage de grandir en finale, long, savoureux et même parfumé, sur un grain fin. C'est très bon. Jean-François Quenin et son épouse ont trouvé les clés de la densité et du raffinement à Pressac. En particulier, ils me rapportent une découverte étonnante. Le pigeage, mode d'extraction tant vanté par d'autres, ne marche pas ici. J'aime cette approche très personnalisée où l'on sort des recettes. Il s'agit d'un des grands crus classés de Saint-Emilion qui progresse le plus en ce moment."

Lots of purple fruits, violets, and floral notes define the nose, and it’s pure, with well-integrated acidity, medium to full-bodied richness, and considerable elegance. It shows the style of the vintage nicely and is beautifully balanced."

"The 2020 Château de Pressac is well defined, almost unassuming on the nose, gently opening to reveal blackberry and briar scents, the oak very well integrated. The medium-bodied palate makes a very pure entry, offering black currant and blueberry notes and a dash of white pepper. Velvety-smooth toward a finish of satisfying length. This should give 12–15 years of drinking pleasure."
