"An inky, powerful wine, the 2014 de Pressac offers up a compelling mélange of crème de cassis, pomegranate, brioche, smoke, new leather and dark spices, all in a sleek yet powerful style. There is plenty of flavor intensity and opulence throughout. A spine of firm yet beautifully integrated tannins carries the fruit through to the finish. The 2014 presents a striking combination of ripe fruit and pulsating energy, which is basically the essence of what makes this vintage at its best so attractive. I imagine the 2014 will de ready to go with minimal cellaring. The blend is 69% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon plus dollops of Malbec and Carmenère."

The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, good depth and structure with a fine saline finish. There is plenty of character to this wine that should be worth looking out for."

Delikates, fast buttriges Bouquet, frisch gebackene Schwarzbrotkruste und Damassinepflaumen, darunter Lakritze und ganz feine Rauchnuancen. Im Gaumen aromatisch, gut unterlegt und mit einer durchgezogenen Textur, bei welcher sich die nasalen Zuge wiederholen. Die vom Extrakt ausgehende Strenge im Nachklang beweist ein eindruckliches Alterungspotential. Er kann noch zulegen. Was ziemlich sicher ist!"
