"Sappy ruby red, this is unfussy and appealing, with soft raspberry fruits; A little underpowered compared to some, taking away its Pomerol signature, although it is an enjoyable wine with a smoky, gently peppery finish. A yield of 30hl/ha. Ageing in 54% in barrels and foudres 46% in small concrete vats and amphores. New addition of Petit Verdot is successful. Certified organic and biodynamic."

"Cask sample. Plenty of dark fruits, red fruits, wet tobacco and damp earth aromas. There's a note of cooked fruit but then a decent lick of acidity and freshness on the palate. Densely packed tannins around a sleek opulent core of ripe raspberries and well-integrated oak. Rounded in style but nicely put together, shows finesse and elegance."

"The 2020 Château Mazeyres showed beautifully, with a ripe, voluptuous style carrying loads of black cherry and blueberry fruits as well as tobacco, graphite, and toasted spices. This big, rich, full-bodied Pomerol has wonderful purity of fruit, a stacked mid-palate, building tannins, and a solid sense of freshness, even though I suspect the acidity is quite low. It should shine right out of the gate yet still keep for 15-20 years."

"The 2020 Mazeyres has a vibrant, almost citrus-fresh bouquet of vivid red cherries, crushed strawberry and rose petal scents, hints of blood orange emerging with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a light savory element on the entry and a fine bead of acidity. Black fruit takes over from red toward the finish, which has a granular texture. Full of character (as usual), Alain Moueix’s biodynamic Pomerol should give 12–15 years of drinking pleasure."

"Purpurviolett. Viel Frische im Bouquet von Mazeyres 2020. Fruchtiger und würziger Charakter mit Anklängen von Brombeeren und Minze. Feiner und saftiger Charakter am Gaumen. Der Wein ist angenehm, rassig und wird von seinen Tanninen gut unterstützt. Die Frische des Bouquets ist auch im Abgang vorhanden. Ein schmackhafter und lebendiger Wein."

Saftige dunkle Kirschenfrucht, seidige Textur, reife Tannine, mineralischer Kern, schokoladiger Abgang, zeigt gute Länge und sicheres Entwicklung- spotenzial. Biodynamisch erzeugt, klare Steigerungstendenz erkennbar."
