Der einzigartige La Violette beherrscht in vollendeter Meisterschaft die Kunst der Verführung und setzt in der an großartigen Weinen nicht armem Appellation Pomerol ein unerhörtes Ausrufezeichen mit seiner Übersetzung von Ovids "Ars Armatoria" in die Genusswelt unserer Tage.

Mit einem orgiastischen Bouquet klarsaftiger, in ein veilchenzartes Thymianbad getauchter, verboten süßer Beerenfrucht, um die eine Aromenwolke aus Orangenzesten, Rosenblüten, einem rauchigen Hauch und einer Prise graphitener Frische elegant gleitet, deutet dieser Pomerolexot die Dimension seiner seduktiven Substanz an. In einem Gaumensolo von betörender Anmut und im Ebenmaß referentieller Schönheit, die ihre Wirkung aus der perfekten Kongruenz der in ein Negligée von libidinöser Zartheit gefassten extraktsüßen, voluptuösen und gleichwohl brillantklaren Beerenfrucht und ihrer Säuredurchwirkung von noblem Aplomb und taktiler Präzision erfährt, gleitet der schwerkraftenthobene, seidig-feine und zugleich substanzgewichtige, aromensaturierte und reibungslose Reinheit assoziiernde Fruchtjuwel über die Zunge und weckt die Begehrlichkeit des "never-ending". Wie kein zweiter Wein balanciert der La Violette virtuos auf dem Grat seduktiver Noblesse und kanalisiert die Sehnsucht nach der verbotenen Frucht in das Glück paradiesischer Teilhabe.

"The 2015 La Violette is the late Catherine Père-Vergé´s haut couture Pomerol: pure Merlot destemmed by hand and micro-vinified, then matured in 100% new Saury barrels. Delivering an alcohol at a modest 14.5%, it has a red cherry, kirsch, bergamot and dried orange peel scented bouquet that is defined with a touch of puppy fat; it handles the new oak in stride. The palate is medium-bodied with saturated tannin, well-judged acidity, silky smooth in texture, but perhaps not quite delivering that killer blow on the finish. Nevertheless, it is utterly seductive and very well crafted, one to watch when it is bottled. If you want a polished Pomerol, this is probably the place to come, for character and Pomerol typicité, turn to Le Gay."

"One sip and you are off on a provocative gambol down memory lane revisiting your favorite, libidinous rendezvous. At La Violette have figured out how to bottle a hot, flirty woman, wrap her in charmeuse and make her sing. Produced from 100% old vine Merlot and packed with something akin to forbidden fruit, this liquid luxury shows a deep, antique ruby color. On the nose, this wine is alive with violets, licorice, cherry blossoms and smoke. A hint of barbecue brings to mind a risqué and unmentionable little romp in the family tree house. On the palate, this wine is like rolling around in Pratesi linens on a hot, sultry night with your dream date. The wine is rich, concentrated, lush and sensual. Silk and velvet tannins and loads of juicy, sweet, moist, fresh berries with the ironic essence of purity and chocolate accents make this a hedonistic thrill ride. The wine reached 14.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.8. Good luck finding any, the production was a mere 350 cases. That means only 349 cases are left, as I am buying one of them!"
