"The 2015 La Grave a Pomerol, a blend of 91% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc, has an almost stoic, tertiary bouquet at first, living up to its name with touches of gravel coming through the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, cohesive in the mouth, here a mixture of red and black fruit that segue nicely into a composed, saline finish. There is a touch more breeding to this La Grave-a-Pomerol than recent vintages - one to watch out for."

Da kauft man einen grossen Pomeroljahrgang von einem gut reüssierten Weingut für ein sehr vernünftiges Budget."

"The La Grave is a muscular, authoritative Pomerol. Here the flavors are dark and intense, while the wine's vertical sense of structure adds to an impression of brooding, virile power. Black cherry, lavender, menthol, scorched earth and grilled herb inflections, along with potent tannins, give La Grave its distinctly baritone voice. I would prefer to cellar the 2015 for at least a few years and see what develops."

"Rouge grenat aux reflets pourpres. Bouquet juvénile, marqué par son élevage. À l’aération il révèle des notes de cerise et de cassis. Attaque élégante, friande. Le vin a une bonne intensité, un peu de gras et de la structure. Les tannins se révèlent lentement en fin de bouche et sont granuleux. Beaucoup d'élégance et de fraîcheur dans ce vin qui sera certainement accessible dans sa jeunesse. Belle intensité fruitée en finale. À suivre car je pense que le potentiel de ce vin ne peut pas encore être noté à sa juste valeur."
