"This is one to look out for - a lovely early drinker with deep ruby concentration and toffee edged aromatics alongside sweet gentle red fruit brambled as it gathers weight through the palate. This is the result of extremely gentle vinification, with low temperatures of 26oC instead of the usual 28oC, and from sandy clay terroir near to Taillefer. A yield of 35hl/ha."

"Ma meilleure note donnée à ce cru en primeur à égalité avec le 2015.
Couleur rouge, sombre et intense. Joli nez au fruité crémeux. Intensité moyenne. Belle bouche suave et fondante, avec du volume, du goût et une nuance agréable de noisette dans la persistance. Longueur normale. Assemblage : 93 % merlot, 7 % cabernet franc. Pour information, je viens de remonter la note du 2015 à 16,25 // 91. Ce cru a un profil d'Outsider."

"The 2018 La Croix du Casse is a powerful, unyielding wine. There is plenty of persistence and drive to the 2018, but today the tannins are punishingly hard. Time in the glass brings out attractive red/purplish berry fruit, but the 2018 remains compact and not especially forthcoming. This is an especially bruising Pomerol. The blend is 93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc."

"Propriété de 9.5ha sur sols gravelot-sableux. Elevage dans 45% de barriques neuves et 55% de barriques de plusieurs vins. Notes fruitées avec des baies noires telles que myrtilles. Attaque friande, invitante. Au palais le vin est agréable mais trop chaleureux sur la fin de bouche. A suivre car la base est bonne."
