"The dark ruby/plum/purple 2012 exhibits notes of graphite, cedar wood, roasted herbs and sweet red and black currants. This medium-bodied, elegant yet rich wine should drink well for a decade or more.
This 22-acre property was recently acquired by the owners of Smith Haut Lafitte, Daniel and Florence Cathiard. Sandwiched between the Cathiard’s Smith Haut Lafitte and nearby Carbonnieux, this vineyard was cropped at a ridiculously low 21 hectoliters per hectare and the wine is composed of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon that finished at 13.8% natural alcohol."
