"The 2018 Lynch Moussas is deep garnet-purple colored and begins with cedary scents giving way to cassis, warm plums and raspberry coulis with hints of oolong tea, Marmite toast, sautéed herbs and charcuterie. The full-bodied palate gives a good core of muscular fruit with firm, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and savory."

"This is certainly not as concentrated as some Pauillacs in this vintage, and the acidity perception is a little higher too, but it’s a good Lynch Moussas, successful on its own terms – although the 2016 is perhaps a little more Pauillac in character.It’s bouncy and full of flavour, with redcurrant and raspberry fruits joining smoked cedar notes. The tannins build through the palate alongside some tobacco notes, leading to a coffee-bean finish. It has a fresh 3.6pH, putting the emphasis on juice and no doubt helped by the 50hl/ha yield. Tasted on several occasions."

"75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot (planted, assemblage in 2018 not confirmed); 60% new oak. Barrel sample.
Black core with narrow purple rim. Lots of spice and blackcurrant, already open on the nose. But you can sense the depth on the palate. Swings from initially juicy to later dry, so the finish is a bit drying. Could do with a little more flesh in the middle."

"Beau rouge sombre et intense. Nez intense, fin, fruité, pur et mûr. Délicat à l'attaque et juteux au développement, très fruité, savoureux, avec un corps finement moelleux, le vin s'achève sur un joli toucher, un goût fin et aucun angle tannique. C'est très bon."

"Pourpre violacé. Agréable bouquet aux notes de cerises et de mûres, légère note confite. Au palais, ce sont la fraîcheur et la race qui sont mises en avant. Il y a du jus, du fruit et des tannins bien intégrés qui assurent bien les arrières. Finale fruitée et bien typée du terroir de Pauillac. Un Lynch-Moussas prometteur, que l’on pourra déjà apprécier dans sa jeunesse."
