The Wine Advocate

"The 2016 Bellegrave, here the Pauillac property owned by the Meffre family and not to be confused with the identically named Pomerol estate, has a conservative cigar box-scented bouquet that just needs to develop more personality. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, good balance with a smooth and elegant finish that lingers in the mouth. This is a well-made Pauillac that just needs to find that extra je ne sais quoi."

Decanter Magazine

"This is all silky elegance, falling over itself to welcome you in. 2016 is such a good vintage for rediscovering those little, overlooked estates, and this is lovely, with enveloping tannins and touches of rusticity that remind you there are still estates working in a traditional manner without extreme selection, even in Pauillac. Very good."

Jean-Marc Quarin

"Le meilleur jamais fait ! Couleur sombre, intense et belle. Nez fruité, mûr et éclatant. Bouche moelleuse, très savoureuse, au corps pulpeux et agréable, de longueur moyenne."

James Suckling

"Full and dense red with currant, berry and chocolate character. Round and juicy tannins. Savory finish. Pretty young wine. Better than the 2015."

René Gabriel's BDX Total

"Herbes, schlankes Bouquet, rote Beeren, Metall, Holz. Kerniger, mittelkräftiger Gaumen mit leichter Frucht, sandigem Tannin, muskulöser Struktur, verhaltener Aromatik, trockener Abgang. "

VINOUS

"The 2016 Bellegrave (Pauillac) is a simple, straightforward wine to drink young, while the ripe, plummy fruit retains its youthful exuberance."

Antonio Galloni 85-87 Punkte

"The 2016 Bellegrave (Pauillac) is tasty, straightforward wine with plenty to offer. Dark red cherry, plum, rose petal and spice are nicely pushed forward. Although not especially complex, the 2016 is delicious, juicy and easy to like. It should be a good value as well."

Yves Beck

"65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc
