"The 2016 Rauzan-Gassies has a relatively light, slightly herbaceous bouquet that does not quite deliver the exuberance of its fellow Margaux, although it is not underripe. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannin on the entry, those typical traits of damp undergrowth and a touch of greenness that leads to a balanced finish that just lacks the fruit intensity of others."

"An estate that delivered an excellent wine in 2015. As ever with Rauzan-Gassies, the team goes for a floral-scented, soft and effortless take on the vintage that prioritises classicism over power, and is a fine reflection of the feminine signature of the appellation. Fragrant, floral nose, with a lovely persistency in the mouth that is gentle but juicy and full of clean, ripe fruits. Enormous drinking pleasure, without the intensity of some of its classified neighbours."

"Le meilleur jamais fait ! Couleur sombre, intense et belle. Superbe nez frais, fruité et pur. Jolie entrée en bouche caressante, puis le vin s’étire, très fruité, savoureux, sur une belle longueur sèveuse à peine ferme. C’est très bon."

"Rouge grenat profond aux reflets violacés. Bouquet complexe, de bonne intensité. Caractère épicé et fruité avec des notes de poivre noir, cannelle. Je relève également des notes de myrtilles et de mûres. Attaque filigrane, élégante. Caractère équilibré avec des tannins parfaitement intégrés et une structure qui soutient bien le fruit. Un vin plaisant que l’on pourra savourer dans sa jeunesse mais qui a du potentiel."
