"The 2021 Prieuré-Lichine shows promise, exhibiting aromas of sweet berries, petals, loamy soil and cigar wrapper. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and seamless, with ripe tannins and a fleshy core of fruit, it's a fine-boned, nicely balanced wine that concludes with a persistent finish."

"Expressive and open nose. Concentrated and lively fruit here with just a touch of smoked earth to the black cherry and blueberry fruits. Well presented, clean and crisp, this has a nice purity to the texture, smooth and sleek with juicy tannins that fill the mouth giving a mouthwatering brightness. Lots of joy to this as well as being serious with a proper backbone all the way through. I like the styling here! Feels gently decadent and confident. Refined though still with a fruity and fresh lift at the end."

"65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Cask sample.
Purplish crimson. Solid, substantial, young red bordeaux that doesn’t taste as though it came from an underripe vintage. Mouth-filling with quite enough fruit and decided freshness. Plus quite a bit of ripe tannin on the end. More concentrated than most Margaux. Very solid performance even if a little chunkier than archetypal Margaux."

"The 2021 Prieuré-Lichine is a sensual, classy wine. Bright floral accents run through a core of red/purplish fruit, rose petal, mint and spice. There's good energy, if not quite the mid-palate pliancy that is typical. There was some inconsistency in the barrel samples I saw, so I remain somewhat cautious."

"Joli bouquet avec des notes de fruits noirs, de fruits frais, de fleurs et une trame épicée très agréable. Pointe de fusain et de graphite à l'aération, pour un bouquet qui devient plus terrien. Le velouté en bouche est un peu amoindri par un boisé présent mais les tanins sont en place, l'équilibre est légèrement tannique ce qui serre l'ensemble."
