"The Château Ferriere has a light redcurrant and strawberry scented nose that is clean but is missing some vigour. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, decent weight with a grippy, slightly tannic finish and a saline aftertaste. This is one of the better Margaux wines this year. Tasted April 2014."

"Deep ruby. Fresh blackcurrant and blackberry jam aromas are complicated by notes of saltpeter and aromatic herbs. Rich and clean in the mouth, with juicy acidity and rising but polished tannins lifting the fresh red fruit flavors at the back. Nicely clean and aromatic but doesn't have the density for a higher score. If this fleshes out with bottle age, my score will look ungenerous."
