Der rassige Senejac bringt neben einer floralen Liaison, die ihm Frische verleiht, einen Schuss Kräuterwürze, die ihm einen vegetalen Touch gibt, mit und zeigt eine dichte Nase von dunklen Beeren und Früchten. Nur der Clos du Jaugueyron (aber den gibt es seit 2014 nicht mehr als Subskription) zeigt eine ähnlich komplette Kür, wobei der Senejac der etwas druckvollere und vorwärtsdrängende Haut-Medoc ist. Mit seinem attraktiven Preis ist er klar ein Subskriptionskauf und wird zum Coup de Coeur gekürt.

"The 2015 Senejac is a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. It has a pure, black cherry, pastille-like bouquet with touches of melted tar and licorice. The palate is well balanced with dry, rather masculine tannin on the entry, a good line of acidity, fresh and nicely proportioned with cedar and tobacco furnishing the long finish. This is a well-crafted, capable Sénéjac that deserves 5-6 years in bottle, and I expect it to land at the top of my banded score."

Saftiger, - für den Jahrgang - sehr leicht gehaltener Gaumen, insgesamt stimmt aber der Rest, herrliches Heidelbeerfinale. Ein gastronomischer Sénéjac."

"The 2015 Sénéjac has developed nicely over the last two years, although it remains a wine built on floral/savory aromatics and midweight structure. Sweet red berry, tobacco, mint and licorice add shades of nuance to this decidedly understated Haut-Médoc. I had hoped the 2015 would fill out a bit during its aging, but that has not happened. The blend is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot."
