Deepest crimson with purple rim. Ripe but fresh and sweet black fruits with a darker savoury edge and a hint of mocha. Light and attractive hint of stone dust. A contrast between the juicy fruit at the core and the very fine, very dry tannins. As in other Haut-Médoc wines in this vintage, the tannins seem high but extremely fine. Lovely freshness if perhaps a little light on fruit in the middle. But still with a certain dry elegance."

Subtle oak, dark chocolate, vanilla and elegant toasting aroma. On the palate well balanced with juicy fruit, ripe tannins, elegant toasting flavour and convincing length. A promising bottle."
