"The 2015 Haut-Carles offers notable intensity, power and ripeness, all in a decidedly fleshy style. Black cherry, chocolate, plum, spice, leather and new oak are all pushed forward. This is a decidedly racy, concentrated Fronsac built on intensity. The tannins still need to settle down, but the 2015 is impressive. Readers should expect a plush, overt style. Tasted three times."

"The 2015 Château Haut Carles has a generous bouquet with blackberry, iodine and incense aromas, a little broody at first, but soon lightening up in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet opening, perhaps just a touch over-extracted, though the acidity keeps everything in kilter towards the finish. It just seems to be trying a little too hard at the moment."

"Très grand volume à la fois puissant, long et profond, tannin velouté, généreux. De très loin le meilleur fronsac que nous ayons dégusté et l’une des grandes réussites de la Rive droite. Grand nez complet de vin de côte, texture particulièrement veloutée, belle longueur, idéale maturité de raisin, ici aussi on est au niveau des très beaux classés de Saint-Émilion. Certainement l’une des très belles affaires du millésime vu le manque (injuste) d’attractivité de l’appellation."

"The 2015 Haut-Carles is plump, juicy and delicious. Inky blue/purplish fruit, lavender, chocolate, spice and licorice are front and center. Even with all of its intensity and raciness, the 2015 has quite a bit of supporting structure to balance things out. I would give it another year or so in bottle to allow the tannins to soften a bit further. Tasted two times."

"Rouge grenat profond aux reflets pourpres. Bouquet intensif révélant des notes de cassis, moka et réglisse. L'élevage est également bien marqué. Attaque suave et juteuse. Le corps est doté de tannins qui apparaissent en milieu de bouche, en accord avec la structure acide. Ils sont granuleux et offrent un bon support. Finale fruitée, un peu confite. Un vin séduisant, doté d'une belle vivacité. On pourra déjà le savourer dans sa jeunesse, mais il a un certain potentiel."
