"The 2016 Haut Carles, the Fronsac estate of Constance and Stéphane Droulers, has an intense bouquet with multi-layered black cherry and boysenberry fruit, the oak neatly integrated and maintaining respectable detail and delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, certainly one of the more concentrated Fronsac 2016s, yet it manages to maintain the tension and energy all the way through to the finish. One to watch."
