"The 2015 Fontenil has a high-toned bouquet, showing some reduction that needed rigorous swirling of the glass to shake off, plenty of kirsch and cassis notes lying underneath. The palate is sweet and chewy in the entry, fat in the mouth with plenty of sucrosity, though I find the finish missing the finesse and detail of some of its peers. Difficult to work this Fronsac out at the moment, but hopefully it will come good by the time in bottle."
