"Coming from the home estate of renowned consultant Stéphane Derenoncourt, the 2020 Domaine De L'A is in the running for the wine of the Castillon region, and it’s possibly the finest vintage I’ve tasted here. Incredible richness and depth as well a full-bodied mouthfeel, ripe black cherry and cassis fruits, a wonderful sense of minerality, and building, ripe tannins all make for a captivating 2020 that just does everything right. I’ll be looking for some bottles. Tasted twice."

"The 2020 Domaine de L´A is incredibly reticent today. Given how well it ages, that should not be a huge concern. Dark-fleshed fruit, graphite and spice gradually open with a bit of coaxing, all framed by bright saline notes that build into the persistent finish. I imagine the 2020 is going to need a number of years to shine. It is a hugely promising wine, even in the very early going."
