Robert Parker:"One of the finest Belgraves I have ever tasted, this sleeper of the vintage boasts an opaque purple color along with abundant aromas of blackberries and cassis, a classy mid-palate, medium to full-bodied flavors, superb depth and crisp freshness as well as liveliness. Over recent years the large negociant firm of Dourthe has been making improvements and resurrecting the quality of this forgotten Medoc classified growth. The 2010 will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring and should keep for 15 or more."

18/20 2018 - 2036"

Jancis Robinson:
"Very dark purple. Hugely voluptuous with a riper nose than many of its peers. Very jazzy and polished with great energy. Marked acidity and fine-grained sandy tannins. Really racy. Thick and racy at the same time. Creamy texture. Fine and fine tannins though without enormous depth or breadth of fruit but nicely controlled for early drinking. Super clean."

Jeff Leve:
"Belgrave uses 52% Merlot, 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc in this vintage. Stone, cassis and hints of pepper in the nose, full-bodied with ripe tannins, structure to age and a blackberry filled finish."

"The Belgrave 2010 has a refined nose with crisp, tobacco-infused Cabernet Sauvignon leading the way with good definition. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, dried herbs, cedar and sandalwood. You might think there was a bit of bottle age on this sample, but I appreciate the balance and classicism on the well-mannered finish. Tasted April 2011."

"Sehr dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe; feines dunkelbeerigen Konfit, etwas Nougat, reifes Brombeerkonfit, feine Röstaromen, saftig, komplex, elegant, gut integrierte Tannine, frische Struktur, zart nach Bitterschokolade im Abgang, gutes Entwicklungspotenzial."

"Ungemein fruchtig und frisch, geschmeidiges, saftiges Tannin, feuriges Finale. Gut
gemacht, versteckt seine - künftige - Eleganz und Liebenswürdigkeit noch hinter
der kompakten, klassischen Struktur. Kann nur zulegen. 2018 bis 2028"
