Robert Parker:

"Made by Ausones proprietor, Alain Vauthier, this attractive, round, pretty wine is soft and generous, with loads of blueberry and raspberry fruit as well as hints of incense and crushed rock. It should drink well for a decade or more."Quelle: "The Wine Advocate", issue 188

René Gabriel:

"Sattes Purpur-Granat. Würziges Bouquet mit Pflaumentönen, Tabak und etwas Eisenkraut, schön begleitende Rösttöne. Am Gaumen aussen cremig und stoffig, im Extrakt leicht aufrauend und mehlig. Hat gute Anlagen und gehört zu den besten Fonbels. Kann noch zulegen.."Quelle: "WEINWISSER" N° 5/2010

Jane Anson:

" This has those wonderful gooseberry and elderflower notes on the nose that I found in some of the Pomerols also. Lovely fresh flavours, crisp fruit and well balanced. 65% merlot, 25% cab sauvignon, 7% petit verdot, 3% carmanere (youll increasingly find this grape variety appearing in tiny quantities on Right Bank labels). 30% new oak. Average age of vines 20 years. Fermentation in stainless steel.."Quelle: www.newbordeaux.com

James Suckling:

"Pretty Cabernet Franc aromas of crushed berries and some milk chocolate. Medium- to full-bodied, with soft and silky tannins. Long sweet fruit on the finish. J.S."

Jancis Robinson:

"Drink 2015-2025; Mid crimson. Very sweet and scented and polished. But not that much savoury density. A bit tough and dry on the end."

Neal Martin:

"Tasted at Chateau Ausone. This has a lifted bouquet of red-berried fruit, with notes of redcurrant and cranberry, a touch of tobacco, perhaps just a little pinched compared with recent samples at this nascent stage. The palate is medium-bodied, soft on the entry, dried herbs inflecting the brambly red-berried fruit, leading to a dry, quite foursquare finish. To be honest, I was expecting just a little more. Tasted March 2010."Quelle: "Wine Journal", www.eRobertParker.com
